"The Age of Impressionism: Great French Paintings from the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute," "Antonio Berni: Juanito and Ramona," "Funnel Tunnel," "São Paulo 2013," "SPRAWL"
It's samba, samba, samba at the 3rd Houston Brazilian Carnaval. Singer Katia Moraes, winner of an International Brazilian Press award, headlines the show while dancers wearing beads, feathers and sequins (and very little else); percussionists; DJs; and Capoeira artists also take their turns onstage. A live video feed of Brazil's carnaval celebrations on giant screens adds to the excitement. 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Kahlua Disco, 7633 Dashwood. For information, call 832-396-5667 or visit www.myspace.com/brazilianeventshouston. $20 to $35.
