F*ck Love, Let’s Party: An Anti-Love Celebration

Being single on Valentine’s Day just got a whole lot more fun

Mock violence, fried Twinkies and your mother are three things you would not normally associate with Valentine’s Day. But at F*ck Love, Let’s Party: An Anti-Love Celebration, presented by performance group FrenetiCore, they’re on the menu, as you can play ultraviolent videogames, shoot photos of your ex, eat breakup food like Lorena Bobbitt skewers and write a Valentine to your mom (at least she still loves you). Drama queens can tell their best breakup stories for a prize, and Cupid himself will appear — conveniently perched on the seat of a dunk tank. Of course, the best way to get love-related angst out of your system is to dance like mad (two DJs can help with that), drink heavily (the bar’s open all night long) and meet new people — even if it is in the “spanking booth.” 9 p.m. Friday. Frenetic Theater, 5102 Navigation. For information, call 832-426-4624 or visit www.freneticore.net. $5.
Fri., Feb. 12, 9 p.m., 2010
