Connie Willis: Blackout

Going back to the future might not be an option in this sci-fi adventure story

The past and the future collide in Connie Willis's adventure novel Blackout. It's Oxford, 2060, and historians are using time travel to get back to crucial moments in the past, such as the American Civil War, Pearl Harbor and 9/11. A group of university students who have traveled back to World War II have growing suspicions that time travel isn't as safe as previously believed. Worse still, the once thought-to-be-irrefutable notion that no one from the future can change the past might not be exactly true. 6:30 p.m. Murder by the Book, 2342 Bissonnet.
