"La Lengua Muerta"

These local artists examine their “Latin-ness”

Photographer Chuy Benitez, sculptor Jonathan Lopez and filmmaker Stephanie Saint Sanchez are among the artists participating in "La Lengua Muerta,"an art exhibit currently on display at labotanica. Curated by participating artist Aisen Caro Chacin, "La Lengua Muerta" (translation: "The Dead Language") is a collection of new works by Hispanic artists, which, according to press materials, explores how Latin the artists consider themselves to be today. 1 to 5 p.m. Saturdays.
