It's a new and definitely updated version of the classic children's fairy tale in 'Lil Red Ridin' in da Hood. Appropriately produced at the Red Door Theatre Company, the kids' production shows 'Lil Red and her rap group The Hoodies as they try to break into the music business with a little help from Grandma Funk. But Maurice "Wolfey" Wolfeson, founder of Bigg 'N Badd Records, is trying to trick the girls into signing a one-sided contract that means they'll be turning their paychecks over to him for the rest of their careers. See what happens at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 3:30 p.m. Sunday. 4513 Red Bluff Road, Pasadena. For information, call 281-542-0500 or visit www.thereddoortheatrecompany.com. $10 to $15.
April 30-May 1, 8 p.m.; Sun., May 2, 3:30 p.m., 2010
