A trio of musical powerhouses perform during today's MusiqaFest: An Evening of Jazz and Contemporary Music. Composer and jazz pianist David Harris (who also happens to be the president of Musiqa's Board of Directors) makes a rare appearance, temporarily coming out of retirement for today's program. Jazz director for the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, saxophonist Warren Sneed and soprano Karol Bennett, who has long shared Musiqa's goal of live music education for students, will also take the stage. 6:30 p.m. Page Southerland Page, 1100 Louisiana.
