Lucky for us, there are two Greek festivals in Houston. That doubles our chances of enjoying some homemade baklava. Today's 15th Annual Festival of Greece offers authentic Greek folk dancing and music, church tours, cooking lessons, kids' games and plenty of shopping for jewelry, gifts and novelties from Greece. The festival also includes the 6th Annual World Gyro Eating Championship and appearances by radio personalities, the Houston Rockets cheerleaders and team mascot Clutch. 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. St. Basil the Great Greek Orthodox Church, 1100 Eldridge Parkway. For information, call 281-451-5999 or visit www.greek-fest.com. Free to $3.
