Pasadena Strawberry Festival
Anyone have some whipped cream?
Think of all the sweet, tasty goodness of fresh, fat, bright-red Texas strawberries, multiply that by a few thousand and you get some idea of what you'll find at the 37th Annual Pasadena Strawberry Festival. This year's theme is Peace, Love and Strawberries (although we think Strawberries, Strawberries and Strawberries would be as good a theme as any). The festival features the world's largest strawberry shortcake, continuous live music, a barbecue cookoff, a carnival, the State Mud Volleyball Championship Tournament and helicopter rides. There's also a parade and beauty pageant. All of it topped off with plump, juicy strawberries. 3 p.m. to midnight Friday, 10 a.m. to midnight Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
