Voices Breaking Boundaries uses art, music and poetry to address recent and past disasters in Pakistan, Haiti and here

"East End Live Art: Un/Natural Disasters" uses art, poetry readings, music and discussions to turn the unimaginable into the extremely personal. Voices Breaking Boundaries co-founder and event organizer Jacsun Shah says "Disasters" addresses recent and past tragedies such as Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Ike and the earthquakes in Haiti, Pakistan and India. (The event is a fund-raiser for Haitian relief.)

The program includes photographs from Haiti, music by Haitian artists and readings by writers such as Neelanjana Banerjee, New York Times contributor and co-editor of Invisible: An Anthology of South Asian American Poetry.
