Order in the Court, a Stage Play

Aunt Mo goes gavel to gavel with the judge in charge of her case

In the comedy Order in the Court, a Stage Play, Aunt Mo, the owner of the Hot Spot, a popular nightclub, has her hands full. First, she's looking after her nephew Craig. He's got baby mama drama and an old friend intent on getting him back into the drug-selling business. Second, an especially jumping night at the Hot Spot catches the attention of the local cops, who shut it down and haul everyone into court. And third, the judge doesn't like Aunt Mo's sassy mouth and tosses her in jail. Sounds like a busy night. 7 p.m. Jewish Community Center, 5601 South Braeswood. For information, call 713-454-1293. $35 to $45.
