Sounds like Fun: European Vacation

Or how the Houston Symphony spent its summer vacation

The Houston Symphony takes its show on the road for the Sounds Like Fun: European Vacation summer concert series, bringing the music to communities around Houston. HS Associate Conductor Robert Franz and Assistant Conductor/American Conducting Fellow Brett Mitchell alternate duties at the podium for a program that includes music by Wagner, Strauss, Ravel, Falla and Dvorak. There are various locations for the series, which concludes June 22 with a performance at Miller Outdoor Theatre. Today's concert is at 7:30 p.m. Grace Community Church, 14505 Gulf Freeway.
