The 2010 Summer Israeli Film Series starts things off today with Lost Islands. Director Reshef Levy's family drama is the story of two young brothers living in a large, extended clan. The pair has been raised with two equally paramount values: loyalty to family and the importance of fulfilling personal dreams. When those ideals come into direct conflict, the brothers must choose between their family's happiness and their own. 7:30 p.m. Jewish Community Center, 5601 South Braeswood. For information, call 713-551-7255 or visit www.jcchouston.org. $8 to $10.
