Turkey Shoot

Romeo, Romeo, where is your sawed-off shotgun, Romeo?

The usually demure Olivia Hussy, who first gained fame as one-half of the star-crossed pair of lovers in the film Romeo and Juliet, goes slumming in the raucous, low-rent slasher flick Turkey Shoot. As the title implies, shooting is a focus of the plot. But instead of turkeys or other wild game, the targets in Shoot are outspoken critics of a totalitarian government that imprisons anyone it considers wayward. For a bit of sick fun, the wacko warden lets some of his rich buddies play target practice with prisoners. Turkey Shoot has it all - sleaze, gratuitous violence, campy dialogue, a half-human/half-dog character (just to up the ick factor) and, of course, the lovely Ms. Hussy. 8:30 p.m. 1709 Westheimer.
