The Secret of the Kells

Is there a spell that can make you brave?

Ancient mythology, magic, fantasy, marauding barbarians, a wolf-girl and a boy who must overcome his fears all come together in the children's animated film The Secret of the Kells. Put together by the people behind the whimsical Triplets of Belleville, the Oscar-nominated The Secret of the Kells is the story of Brendan, a young boy who lives in a remote outpost during medieval times. His adventure begins when a master artisan arrives with an unfinished book filled with secrets and powers, and asks the timid boy to help him complete the manuscript. In order to do so, Brendan will have to face his worst fears and risk everything. 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, 1001 Bissonnet.
