That's A Wrap

The Blini Beef at Imperia Bar & Grill

The Blini Beef ($7.95) at Imperia Bar & Grill (12151 Westheimer, 281-558-8222), a new restaurant specializing in Russian food, is a wonderful appetizer. The crepe-like blinis are made from buckwheat flour, so they have a spongy texture and are darker than those made with wheat. They're stuffed with a savory beef and onion mixture before being neatly rolled up into convenient packages that look like small burritos. A delicious onion-and-mushroom sauce is perfect for dipping.
