If you weren't lucky enough to be in Chicago in June to attend the Crossroads Guitar Festival 2010, you have another chance to enjoy the whirlwind of performances by a star-studded line-up of guitar greats at today's screening of the documentary Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival 2010. A two-hour film of highlights and backstage footage of the 11-hour concert, along with interviews with many of the A-list performers, Crossroads features rockers Clapton, Texas's own Johnny Winter and ZZ Top. Also on the program are bluesmen Buddy Guy (who shared part of his set with Jonny Lang), B.B. King and 78-year-old Hubert Sumlin, the longtime guitarist for the legendary Howlin' Wolf. Country pickers included Vince Gill (with a back-up band made up of Keb'Mo', Earl Klugh and Albert Lee), with contributions by meat-and-potatoes bluesmen Jeff Beck and John Mayer. As if that were not enough, Robert Cray, members of Los Lobos and Sheryl Crow all took their turn on the stage. 7:30 p.m. Various locations including Houston Marq*E Stadium 22 plus IMAX, 7620 Katy Freeway. For information, visit www.fathomevents.com. $12.50.
