"Main Street Music Festival" With Screwtape, Spain Colored Orange, Young Girls, The Watermarks

Houston looks to soon be leading the country in music festivals: Our own Houston Press Music Awards Showcase, Summerfest, the annual noise fests at Super Happy Fun Land, Trae Day, and the dormant (for now) Westheimer Block Party, Houston has them on lock. Here comes another, the Main Street Music Festival spread out over two days at Notsuoh and Dean’s Credit Clothing. The brainchild of Dean’s booker and Spain Colored Orange member Gilbert Alfaro, the festival boasts almost 40 of the city’s best and brightest. Heavies on the bill include Side Arms, Screwtape, Arthur Yoria, Young Girls, The Watermarks and of course Alfaro’s SCO. For a reasonable $5 cover charge it’s easily the steal of the summer - or even the year.
