Houston teens are hyped up on words
Who knows how many tweets and texts Houston teens have exchanged so far this summer? Millions? Well, we know six teens who used their words to do something a little more structured over the last couple of months. Young playwrights Nick Doolan, Loden Cullar-Ledford, Kim Blacknall, Kolean Gudalj, Christian Cortes and Barrett White participated in this year's Houston Young Playwrights Exchange at the Alley Theatre. First, their plays were selected out of 160 entries submitted. Then the teens participated in a mentoring program, polishing their works.
