According to the film Trash Humpers, some older people just need to hump trash. Not us, mind you. We're just saying some otherpeople. Shot on VHS, Trash Humpers is something akin to watching an old home movie with your creepy next-door neighbor (minus the humping, hopefully). There's no real plot, you don't know who anybody is and you leave feeling a little confused. Writer/director Harmony Korine tries to shock the audience with the actions of his group of elderly sociopaths. Most of Trash Humpers features short, absurd scenes (like when an old lady rides a small dirt bike with baby dolls tied to the bike’s back fender). Korine's characters are seen doing a variety of weird things to keep boredom at bay, including (refer back to the title here, people) humping trash. Trash Humpers is a slightly disquieting film that makes fun of itself and, in some ways, its audience. 8:30 p.m. Domy Books, 1709 Westheimer. For information, call 713-523-3669 or visit www.domystore.com. $10.
