Mexican artist Gabriel Kuri is having his first solo museum exhibit in the United States, "Gabriel Kuri: Nobody needs to know the price of your Saab." The collection is a ten-year survey of collages and sculptures that he says examine society's material consumption. One collaged photo shows a snake in full strike mode, with a ticket in its mouth. Another work, a photograph of a series of containers, is compelling. Shot from above, it allows the viewer to see inside colored containers nestling next to each other, like parts of a pie graph. There's an opening reception at 6 p.m. August 27. Regular viewing hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. Through November 3.
