Novelist Sara Paretskystarts off her latest novel Body Workwith investigator V.I. Warshawski finding a dying woman in the parking lot of a nightclub. As she holds the woman, Warshawski can't help but wonder, "Who was she? And more importantly, who wanted her dead?" Paretsky's biting writing makes the reader wonder, too.
