The lovely Arianna Huffington, who fights cultural battles every day on her hugely popular Web site The Huffington Post, is coming to Houston. Time listed the crusader, who is originally from Greece, among the world's 100 most influential people. Now she's turned her attentions to the plight of ordinary Americans. The Progressive Forum, which helped launch Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth, will introduce Houstonians to Huffington's new book Third World America: How Our Politicians Are Abandoning the Middle Class and Betraying the American Dream. In the book she details the reasons behind the country's current economic downturn and what we can all do to help stop America from sliding down the tube.
