The big, green guy known as Shrek is coming to the Hobby Center soon, and to get everyone in the mood, Gexa Energy Broadway at the Hobby Center is screening Shrek, the 2001 film that started it all. With singing, dancing and great scenery, the stage version of Shrek is a sort of off-beat fairy tale, with touches of romance and lots of irreverent humor. 7:30 p.m. Discovery Green, 1500 McKinney.
