Work by dozens of Texans from Lubbock, Austin, Nacogdoches and Houston, including magnificent creations made from wood, metal, glass, fiber and/or ceramic material, is on display at CraftTexas 2010, presented by Houston Center for Contemporary Craft. One piece, Mama Never Told Me!, displays the painstakingly detailed practice of Scherenschnitte - 16th-century German paper-cutting - in a work that depicts a couple in various everyday scenarios. Volante, a piece of turned mesquite wood, resembles a haphazard doughnut. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. Through December 30. 4848 Main.
