Playwright Eve Ensler's The Good Body focuses on a different part of the body than The Vagina Monologues did; this time it's the stomach. Good Body has three actors playing several characters as they discuss women's body-image issues and what's considered beautiful in different cultures. They eventually make peace with their bodies, no matter what their size or shape. Melissa Mumper, president of the Pandora Theatre and one of the actors in the play, tells us, "This might not seem to be a play that men would be very interested in, but if they come see the show they'll learn what to say when their wife asks them, 'Honey, do I look fat in this?'" 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Through November 20. Midtown Art Center, 3414 La Branch. For information, call 713-304-4656 or visit www.pandoratheatre.com. $15.
Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m. Starts: Nov. 5. Continues through Nov. 20, 2010
