Artist Charlie Hardwick, more commonly known as Uncle Charlie, is visually impaired, which often prompts fans to ask him, "Exactly how blind are you?" Hardwick says he never finds the words to adequately answer that question. To better explain what he sees, he's painted a series of new images for the exhibit "Charlie Hardwick: What I See." The paintings mirror Hardwick's vision, which is focused in the middle and blurs toward the edges. "It's like I'm seeing through a tunnel," Hardwick explains. Longtime fans of Hardwick's concert posters will be happy to see several examples of that work included in the exhibit, but he says the new series is what people will notice. Opening reception 6 to 11 p.m. November 13. Regular viewing hours 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 11 a.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays. Through January 30. Sig’s Lagoon, 2633 Main. For information, call 713-533-9525 or visit www.sigslagoon.com.
