Louis C.K.: Word

Comedian Louis C.K. is recently divorced, but he's not exactly looking forward to the single life. "I know too much about life to have any optimism," explains the star of the television sitcom Louie on FX. "You'll meet the perfect person and then you'll get old together and then she's gonna die. That's the best-case scenario." Louis C.K. typically explores topics with this kind of unapologetic, self-deprecating pessimism - charity, his two daughters, racism and even his chosen profession are given the "go eff yourself, this is what I think" treatment. Comedians and fans of comedy both love him for it. His honesty has earned him an Emmy (for his work on The Chris Rock Show), numerous stand-up specials and two television shows including Louie, which just ended its first season and was signed for a second. See what material C.K. is cooking up when he stops into Houston today as part of his tour Louis C.K.: Word. 7:30 p.m. Verizon Wireless Theater, 520 Texas.
