Star of Bethlehem
There are some things scientists can’t explain but that doesn’t stop them from trying. Take the planetarium film Star of Bethlehem. Million of Christians take it on faith that a bright star rose in the sky, leading the wise men to the birthplace of the Christ child. But science requires evidence, so the smart folks at the Houston Museum of Natural Science have set out to discover physical proof of the events mentioned in the nativity story. The planetarium’s digital star-field simulator recreates the night sky at the time of Christ’s birth, in an attempt to see what led the wise men on their journey.
