Jingle bells, Santa Claus and ... a piano juggler? Okay, so two-thirds of A Very Merry Pops is classic holiday fare and the other third is … ah, not. Michael Krajewski will lead the Houston Symphony and the symphony chorus through classic hits, including “Sleigh Ride,” “O Holy Night” and “What Child Is This,” the latter a solo performed by Sean Holshouser, a rising-star boy soprano. Piano juggler Dan Menendez -- who literally plays the piano while juggling – will shake things up a tad, but overall this annual concert is as purely joyful and traditionally festive as you can get. 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Jones Hall, 615 Louisiana. For information, call 713-224-7575 or visit www.houstonsymphony.org. $25 to $116.
Dec. 10-12, 2010
