There are three main reasons to attend the 3rd Annual Houston Press Artopia bash. One, to celebrate the MasterMind Awards winners (this year’s nods — and $2,000 checks — go to David Dove of Nameless Sound, Jason Nodler of Catastrophic Theatre, and Foodways Texas). Two, to enjoy a blistering rush of food, music, art and schmoozing. And three, to enjoy a blistering rush of food, music, art and schmoozing while you celebrate the MasterMind Awards winners.

Artopia has become quite the hot-ticket party. This year, the bash will feature performances by Dominic Walsh Dance Theater, Cuadro La Tempestad Flamenco and Houston Metropolitan Dance Company, and live music by DJ Kyle Berg, Peekaboo Theory, Lee Alexander Band and Grandfather Child. Participating restaurants include Calliope Po-Boys, Phoenicia, Last Concert Cafe and Fadi’s Mediterranean Grill.
