Jazz enthusiasts will get a taste of Norwegian-influenced grooves when the Asle Roe Trio takes the stage today at Cezanne. Guitarist Asle has more than 20 years of experience performing; the first ten of those he spent in Norway playing rock and pop. He spent the last ten years in Houston and eventually found his way to jazz. Asle believes Houston, more well known for its rappers and rockers, has a lot to offer jazz fans. So little people come out to see jazz in this big city. Its a shame not to show up. The trio is comprised of Anthony Sapp, who has been with Asle since his Texas arrival, on bass, and Vernon Daniels on drums. 9 p.m. 4100 Montrose. For information, visit www.cezannejazz.com.
