More About

The trickiest part about attending the Houston Symphony’s performance of Ravel’s Spain might be staying in your seat. Hans Graf leads the ensemble and mezzo-soprano Susanne Mentzer through a collection of the French composer’s high-energy, Spanish-flavored melodies, including L’Heure Espagnole, Rapsodie Espagnole and the Chanson Espagnole. These, however, are just appetizers for the ultra-popular Boléro, a slow-building tour de force which just begs to be danced to – consider yourself warned. 8 p.m. Jones Hall, 615 Louisiana. For information, call 713-224-7575 or visit www.houstonsymphony.org. $25 to $126.
Fri., Feb. 11, 8 p.m., 2011
