Houston's Wild Moccasins are going on a European vacation this month to spread the gospel of H-Town indie-pop, and throwing a going-away party at Fitzgerald's before they pack their bags and head across the pond. You'd better come out, too, because from looking at the Euro tour's itinerary, the band won't be back in Texas until at least early April. To put that into perspective, by that time, Houston will have traded in hoodies and fingerless hobo gloves for jorts, T-shirts and patio drinking. Last summer's Skin Collision Past is still getting plenty of play and will soon be reissued by the Moccs' new label, New West Records, with 2008 EP Microscopic Metronomes tacked on as a bonus. The band is reportedly laying down tracks for a Collision follow-up and proper New West debut for later this year. For the low price of $8, Saturday's show also features the Young Mammals and Wicked Poseur, so go send the Moccs off in style.
