It's a crying shame that Neeson has decided to go down this path. I have been giving him a lot of leeway because his wife died very tragically and suddenly. I assumed that he had been taking these roles so as not to be idle, and then self destruct. That being said, I think he needs to go back to being an actor and not an aging action star. He has the ability to command great performances, and has done so in the past. He had very little screen time in the great movie "Gangs of New York", but I still remember it well. He acted opposite the amazing Daniel Day Lewis and held his own. Thats no easy feat. I hope that a script finds him soon that will get him back on board, and not off the reservation with these types of roles he has been taking. God knows the last thing we need is another Nick Cage. I have always wondered how many bad movies an actor can do before their Oscar is taken back on principle. Thats a different rant though.
