Sure, there was no air-conditioning and horses were still the primary means of transport, but walking among the elegant vases and the refined period furniture on display at the Museum of Fine Arts’ “Circa 1900: Decorative Arts at the Turn of the Century,” one could be forgiven for wishing for a time machine. Showing European objects and paintings created between 1890 and 1910, the exhibit features ornate, luxurious works by Hector Guimard, Frantiek Kupka and Edvard Munch, including several Art Nouveau pieces. People at the turn of the 20th century may not have had cell phones, but they sure had style. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 12:15 to 7 p.m. Sundays.
