Everything is bigger in Texas, including, it seems, the sky. The full-dome, live planetarium presentation Stars over Texas begins with a look at the local sky before moving on to the western part of the state, exploring the differences between Texas night skies and those over other parts of the world. Stars over Texas also examines the contributions Texans have made to the field of astronomy over the last 175 years, from furthering the idea of the Big Bang to the exploration of the moon, and on to the International Space Station currently orbiting the earth. Stars over Texas is being presented along with Texas! The Exhibition and the IMAX film Texas! The Big Picture. Screening times vary. Daily. The Houston Museum of Natural Science, 5555 Hermann Park Drive. For information, call 713-639-4629 or visit www.hmns.org. $4 to $8.
