"In the Footsteps of My Grandparents”documents Houston-based freelance photographer Talya Arbisser’s efforts to reconnect with her family’s roots in Israel. Arbisser took more than 1,000 photos while visiting the country, but chose just 25 for the exhibition. Despite the small number of photos, Arbisser manages to show viewers a wide range of life in Israel, from rural living and religious practices to the modern cities and busy nightlife. She says, “I was trying to strike a balance between the old and the new, traditional and secular; that, I believe, is what Israel is all about.” 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and Sundays.
