Raising the Barre

Closes June 5!

The Houston Ballet is on fire this year, with a beautiful new home, an artistic director hand-selected to choreograph for Jacob’s Pillow, and a Rudolph Nureyev Prize for New Dance. HB’s latest effort, the spring mixed-repertory program Raising the Barre, will feature choreography by Jorma Elo of Finland and Christopher Bruce and Christopher Wheeldon of England. Though none of the choreographers are American, their works seem to be. "Raising the Barre is an exciting collection of works all with an American flavor,” said artistic director Stanton Welch via press materials.
