Only one chance to the see the one ring on the big screen remains. The Return of the King Extended Edition is the final film of the Lord of the Rings Film Trilogy. Based on the book by J.R.R. Tolkien, this epic concludes Frodo Baggins's quest to rid the world of its greatest evil, a tiny gold ring that anchors the Dark Lord Sauron's soul to Middle Earth. A special introductory film starring the director of the trilogy, Peter Jackson, from the movie set of The Hobbit will precede the showing. This screening features nearly an extra hour of scenes not included in the original theatrical release and coincides with the release date of the extended version of the series on Blu-ray DVD. 7 p.m.; film screenings run through June 28.
