Who needs fireworks when you have the 21-Soda Geyser Salute and Alka-Seltzer Rockets? Those are just two of the treats at the Kidpendence Day Weekend. In addition to games, crafts and entertainment, the weekend features the High Steppers Brass Band & Flag Waving Parade (1 p.m., Monday). 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Monday, noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
