Most of us know stepping as performed in competitions and shows by black fraternities and sororities — an explosive mix of synchronized kicks, stomps, dance steps and claps combined with chants and spoken-word elements. It’s a sort of physical one-upmanship. Step Afrika, the first group of its kind, takes that tradition one step further, adding even more dance elements.
