Friday's Canned Acoustica revue marks the fourth chapter in the history of the all-acoustic showcase series, and also looks to be the most varied and, well, loudest in its short existence. It's going to be hard to follow up the last installment, which saw rapper Fat Tony and Two Star Symphony joining forces onstage for a few of Tony's cuts, along with blistering sets by Holy Fiction and The Manichean. This time around metallers Venomous Maximus get mellow, the Literary Greats strip their Wilco-rock down a notch, Nosaprise's indie-pop side project Screwtape pulls out the acoustics, and Los Skarnales will no doubt still manage to make the walls sweat. As with each previous Canned, a local charity is showcased — this time around, your donation of basic school supplies will be greatly appreciated.
