Nope, thats not a misspelling its Poperazzi. The oddly named vocal trio George DeMott and Cody Shawn Gay, both tenors, along with Janien Valentine, a soprano is joining the Houston Symphony for an evening of Italian classics in Viva Italia. Today theyll be singing everything from opera favorites to American pop, all backed by the full symphony orchestra. As always, the Houston Symphonys own Principal Pops Conductor Michael Krajewski is conducting (hes also the touring productions co-producer). Expect to hear a few arias from La Traviata, The Barber of Seville and the like, before the group moves on to tunes from the film The Godfather and some Frank Sinatra standards. 8 p.m. Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, 2005 Lake Robbins Drive. For information, call 281-363‑3300. Free to $15. 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Jones Hall, 615 Louisiana. For information, call 713-224-7575 or visit www.houstonsymphony.org. $25 to $122.
