Houston Center for Photography: Fall 2011 Exhibitions

A trio of shows share the spotlight for the Houston Center for Photography's Fall 2011 Exhibitions. Making his American solo debut is Cuban photographer Adrian Fernandez with "Life Style." Focusing on the moneyed upper class in today's Cuba, Fernandez is displaying images that show obstacles that separate wealthy families from their neighbors, such as fences, walls and barred windows; there are also photographs of the interior of the homes. Seeing the objects that surround the residents gives the viewer insight into the people themselves.
