The Gulf Coast Reads project is soon coming to an end, but you have one more chance to see Calcutta-born author and now Sugar Land resident Chitra Divakaruni discuss and sign her novel One Amazing Thing. The book, which chronicles the struggles of nine people who are trapped in a basement after an earthquake, is the focus of this year’s project with hundreds of people in the area joining in on discussions, presentations and readings. 6 p.m. Kendal Neighborhood Library and Community Center, 609 North Eldridge Parkway.
