Texas Contemporary Art Fair

The Texas Contemporary Art Fair is in town, and organizers say Houston was a natural match for the international exhibition. Fair director Max Fishko says Houston is “a vibrant, progressive and extremely relevant market in the global art sphere.” Art lovers have access to a blend of emerging talents and historically significant works through exhibits by a wide variety of internationally renowned modern and contemporary galleries. The fair includes work by artists from more than 50 galleries across the country, along with a number of regional exhibitors. Local galleries participating include the Moody Gallery, Sicardi Gallery, Wade Wilson Art and the Texas Gallery, among others. Additionally, there will be a host of discussions by featured artists and galleries, on-site tours, a video theater and performance by dance company Vault. At 6 p.m. on Thursday there’s a CAMH Benefit Preview Party. Regular viewing hours are 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m Sunday. 1001 Avenida De Las Americas.
