Anyone who’s seen the magic of Cirque du Soleil is in for a treat at today’s Cirque Mechanics Boomtown. With a cast made up of former performers from the Moscow Circus and Cirque du Soleil, Cirque explores the relationship between man and machine. For Boomtown, the cast travels back to the 1860s, the beginning of the gold rush, and the wild-west world of Rosebud. The performers climb telegraph poles, swing from the chandeliers, and flip through the air on carts, landing on jugs of liquor. Romance, barroom fights and fabulous discoveries are all included in a mesmerizing, high-flying, thrill-inducing show. 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Miller 6000 Hermann Park Drive.
