A separate challenge, the 2nd Annual Great Chalk-Off, pairs a local television personality with a Center for Hearing and Speech alum (the festival benefits the Center). Each team will work on a 2’x2’ patch of downtown roadway. With just 30 minutes to complete their mural, the pair will create an image inspired by the theme “Things I Like to Hear.” This year’s Great Chalk-Off judges’ panel includes our own Houston Press marketing director, Brenna Croom.
Musical entertainment for Via Colori® will be provided by a dozen Houston groups including the Literary Greats, Two Star Symphony, and the popular Roky Moon & BOLT! 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
