Get a great start on the Christmas season at the 26th Annual Uptown Holiday Lighting, where half a million brilliant, twinkling lights cover some 80 Christmas trees lining Post Oak Boulevard. Santa Claus himself will flip the switch, with a little help from some costumed characters, including several giant reindeer. The fun also includes a fireworks display and local musical groups performing holiday favorites during the festivities. 4 p.m. Uptown District, 2000 Post Oak Boulevard.
