“This is for You”

Visual artist Darcy Rosenberger shares works she created as gifts for her loved ones in the exhibit "This is for You,"currently at Lawndale Art Center. The show, one of four exhibits on view at the center, features art in a variety of mediums. (Rosenberger works in everything from paper to installation, video to sculpture.) One piece, Untitled, is made from several sheets of paper, each with its center burnt out. The sheets are hung in a row, with the holes diminishing in size from one end to the other, creating a tunnel effect; viewers look in from the first sheet to the last. The paper is in constant motion due to the air flow in the room, continuously changing the image. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays. Through January 7. 4912 Main. For information, call 713‑528‑5858 or visit www.lawndaleartcenter.org. Free.
Mondays-Saturdays. Starts: Nov. 18. Continues through Jan. 7, 2011
